Happy sunday to everyone!
Today by courtesy of an amazing friend I will like to show a really nice recipe fall of flavors with matcha powder or also known as Green Tea powder and a white chocolate frosting to decorare on top. Let´s go!
Ingredients for 12 medium size cupcakes:
- 125g self raising flour
- ¼ top bicarbonate of soda
- 125g caster sugar
- A heaped half-teaspoon of matcha powder
- 135g soft unsalted butter
- 2 large eggs
- Dash tsp vanilla extract
- 1.5 tbsp whole milk
Start by pre heating the oven to 180º C or 350 º F and line a cupcake trae with cupcake liners, you will need 12.
In the bowl of a stand mixer or a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Next, add the eggs one at the time and a drop of vanilla extract.
In another bowl, sift together the dry ingredients, so the flour, bicarbonate and marcha powder and incorporase to the buitre mixture.
With a medium size ice-cream scoop, fill the cupcake liners and bake at the same temperature for 20 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool. Mean while prepare the delicious frosting.
Ingredients for 1 batch of white chocolate frosting:
- 90g melted white chocolate
- 150g soft unsalted butter
- 270g icing sugar, sifted
- 2 tbsp whole milk
This buttecream is so easy that you will literal fall in love. Start by beating the butter for 5 minutes with a mixer until light, pale and fluffy. Add the icing sugar in two times beating well after each addition and to lose it up, add the milk. To flavour this icing, add the meted and cool white chocolate and beat until nice and smooth.
White chocolate and matcha drizzle: (it is opcional but it gives an amazing and special touch)
- 50 gr of white meted chocolate
- 1/2 top of matcha powder
Melt the white chocolate in the microwave and incorporate the matcha powder. To decorare the cupcakes, pipe the buttercream into the cupcake with a spot or spatula or a pipping bag if desire and drizzle on top some of the delicious matcha mixture.
